What a great place! My R.S. president kept telling me and others about the great food bank she volunteers at. I was a bit nervous to try it but boy am I glad I did! They are open to the general public only one day a week. It's called their sponsor day, which means, those who go that day give a minimum $50 donation and you get to go shop. I got roughly $200 worth of food and other items. Amazing!

That's awesome! Before my dad got sick, he would volunteer at a similar center and he too got to come home lots of goodies. : ) Glad you gave it a try despite your initial misgivings.
