Halloween 2008

Here are the pictures from Halloween. If you couldn't tell... Kaia went as "Lola" from the Disney show "Charlie & Lola". Troy was going to go as "Charlie" but he had to work. He was totally bummed and If he had been with Kaia and had a "Charlie" shirt on we would have definitely gotten a lot less of, "So... is she supposed to be Holly Hobbie?" Oh, well. It was fun to actually make Kaia a dress that she can wear again and it was only my second sewing project, ever! I made a princess pillow case for Kaia the week before at an enrichment activity. On a funny note, she went upstairs before church a couple of Sundays after Halloween and her cousin Jace took one look at her dress and adamantly told her that Halloween was over. How funny is that? To him it was her "Lola" dress and not something she should be wearing to church.

Yee-Haw!!!

Dad... Do I have to stand here?

It is to a real elephant!

We couldn't forget about our giraffe friends... Could we?

Troy had the chance to take Kaia to the Denver Zoo for their annual Boo At The Zoo. I hadn't quite finished her actual Halloween costume yet so she borrowed none other than a giraffe costume. How's that for perfect? Here are some cute pictures of my little giraffe and her daddy at the zoo.

Labor Day Fun

On to September... Finally!

When we arrived in CO we got her just in time to enjoy some Labor Day fun with many of our family members and friends. We attended The Taste of Colorado in Denver and it was so fun! There isn't much else to say about it other than there was good food and fun was had by all.

Our New... Old Apartment

We've got our own place again. It's nice to have a place to call home again but it makes me miss our house even more, especially as I unpack boxes and smell the smells of our house. Our apartment is modest and constructed in the 80's so it has that great popcorn ceiling we all know and love... maybe, maybe not. It's a decent enough stop on the way back to home ownership but I imagine that will be at least a few years from now.
