Our little boy has arrived! It was a very LOOONG labor for Jen but Troy was a great coach and Grandma and Grandpa Shewmaker were here to help keep Kaia "occupied". Ronan came into the world just before 11pm on the 29th of December. He weighed 8 Pounds & 1.5 Ounces. It was an induced labor, we wanted the tax deduction, but Jen doesn't think she wants to do that again if she doesn't have to. OUCH! After being at 1 cm for hours, she jumped from a 3 to a 7 in the matter of an hour. The contractions were knee crumbling and the anesthesiologist wasn't getting there fast enough. The epidural took the edge off but Jen still felt most of the delivery process. Otherwise, mom and baby are doing well. Ronan is so precious and Jen is really glad to have her body to herself again!

Yay! What a wonderful little boy! I am sure you are excited to have your body back.. although.. if you are nursing.. you know what part of your body is still not going to be yours! ;O)
