Winter Park
One afternoon of the reunion was spent at Winter Park, a ski resort that is open year round right by where we stayed. It was a lot of fun to go there (even though it rained part of the time we were there). I even got to experience alpine sliding for the first time. For those that don't know, alpine sliding is where you basically ride a big sled on wheels in a concrete track down the side of the mountain. I wasn't sure if I would like it at first, but I ended up going about 4 times because it was so much fun. I even took Kaia down with me. She definitely was scared the first time, but by the end she kept telling me "Faster Mommy, Faster." Oh great... are we going to have a speed demon on our hands later. There was also miniature golf, which Troy and Papa Monson played right after the rain stopped on a waterlogged course. A fun little playground was also there for the little ones, and another ride called the Zephyr. The Zephyr is a ski lift that takes you all the way to the top of the mountain where you can hike around, or just ride the lift right back down. That was very fun, and it was very beautiful to see the mountains all around as we were going up. Again here are some pictures of our time at Winter Park:

Kaia riding the ski lift up to the alpine slide for the first time. You can see she wasn't too happy.
Here's a good picture of what the alpine slide looks like for those that have never seen one.
