Groovy Tunes
OK, so just maybe I went a little crazy with the music and... Troy hasn't even had a shot at adding songs yet, although I did put a couple in that I know he likes. You really don't realize how much music influences your life until you start thinking about all of the songs you love, that have a special meaning, or what ever. There are A LOT of songs but I think it's fair to name just a few and why they made it on the tune list. "The Way You Look Tonight" is our wedding song, "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley is Kaia's favorite song and has been since she's been like 6 months old. When ever it would come on while we were driving, she would start bouncing her little legs and feet to the beat. Crazy! "Ordinary Miracle" is the song we have designated for our family in memory of Riley. We had purchased and were watching Charlotte's Web shortly after her passing and that song came on... I started balling. It is so her and the story of Charlotte's Web is equally symbolic of her special little life. Other than that, most of the songs are songs that are new favorites, old favorites, and Bon Jovi is on the list just to annoy Troy. It seems like no matter when we get in the car, except on Sunday because we listen to the classical station, one of two old Bon Jovi songs comes on at one point during our outing. We have actually gotten to the point of surprise when we don't hear one at least once while driving. We just look at each other with that look. I love it! Well, I hope you enjoy our groovy tunes (scroll to the bottom of the page) as much as we do.

Jen, Isn't it amazing how a song can completely set a mood, bring up a memory that was long forgotten, or help you heal when you need to?
In almost every event of my life (good or bad) I have had a song that was associated with it.
The old country song "Daddys Hands" makes me ball because it was playing while I was on my way to my Mom's house the morning after my step dad died. Then ironicly it was playing on the way to the burial site the day of his funeral, and on his next birthday as well.
I listened to "Ordinary Miracles" and I can totaly understand why you chose that song. I had never thought of it in that way. (I had a good cry!)
On a less serious note..One of my favorite songs is a very naughty song by Gretchin Wilson. (It reminds me of times gone by..he he he) I jam when it comes on the radio...My girls want to know why I like it so much. :) I think that's just one story I'll keep to myself!
LOVE your tunes! It's fun to see we have some similar tastes. Right now 'Take On Me'--A-ha is playing...haven't heard that in FOREVER and I LOVE it!
One more thing, why can't I place 'That's How You Know'? It totally sounds familiar, but I can't figure out what it's from!
Wait a second! It's from Enchanted--duh!! Oh, btw: I bought Enchanted to give to the boys when I leave for NYC, thought it'd be fun for them to watch while I'm there. : )
That's such a cute idea. I'm sure you expect that when you get back they'll be asking you if you saw all the things they saw in the movie.
